The Sar Pass Trek is one of the most popular Himalayan treks in Himachal Pradesh, starting from the scenic village of Kasol in Parvati Valley. Known as one of the best snow treks in India, Sar Pass reaches an altitude of 13,800 feet and offers a perfect mix of alpine meadows, dense pine forests, charming Himalayan villages, and thrilling snow trails.
Trip Highlights
Day 1 โ Ahmedabad to Delhi (Train)
- โบOvernight train from Ahmedabad to Delhi (direct, or via Udaipur/Jodhpur). Meals self-sponsored.
Day 2 โ Delhi to Kasol (Parvati Valley)
- โบFreshen up in Delhi, then evening Volvo/semi-sleeper to Kasol. Overnight journey.
Day 3 โ Acclimatization at Kasol
- โบArrive Kasol by 11 AM, base-camp reporting, trek briefing & equipment check, acclimatization walk and explore Kasol market and cafes.
Day 4 โ Kasol to Grahan Village (2,350 m)
- โบ7-8 km, 5-6 hrs. Forest trail through pines and waterfalls, cross Grahan Nallah to the ancient Grahan Village campsite.
Day 5 โ Grahan to Min Thach (3,400 m)
- โบ7-8 km, 6-7 hrs. Shepherd trails, lunch at Ratapani, alpine meadows, sunset and stargazing at Min Thach.
Day 6 โ Min Thach to Nagaru (3,800 m)
- โบ8-9 km, 5-6 hrs. Steeper trail with snow patches to the coldest campsite of the trek.
Day 7 โ Nagaru โ Sar Pass โ Biskeri Thach
- โบSummit day โ cross Sar Pass (~13,800 ft / 4,200 m) with thrilling snow slides down to Biskeri Thach.
Day 8โ10 โ Descend to Kasol โ Delhi โ Ahmedabad
- โบTrek down to Kasol, then return by bus and train to Ahmedabad with lifelong memories.
